If you unable to click on the "allow" or "deny" permission window, please follow these steps.
Click this link to open the Flash permission management screen.
Once it is open, click "Always Ask" and then click "Confirm".
You may then close that window and return here to proceed.
Click this link to open the Flash Privacy Settings screen.
Once it is open, click the down arrow to the right until you see "www.menchats.com" click on it one time, then choose the "Always Allow" radio button from the top.
You may then close that window and return here to proceed.
Please close all browser windows and attempt to re-enter Men Chats and you should not be presented with the "allow" "deny" pop-up again.

Click on the settings tab on the left hand side ("sproket" or "gear" looking icon)
Under the "General" tab, you can choose from various sound and color themes
Place a mark in the items you want to hear sound and unmark the ones you want muted. Sound alerts are:
New Messages (can be loud, as a tone will be heard with each new message posted in a room)
New Personal Messages (recommend to leave on so you'll know when someone is writing just you)
Join/Left Messages (can be loud in a busy room, will make a tone when anyone enters/leaves a room you are in)
System Messages (recommend you leave on to receive notice of important system messages)

After entering the chat room you wish to use (with your cam enabled) look at the top left of the screen, under the name of the room you are in, you will see an "eye ball", click the text next to that. Change it to "custom". You may also choose "Members Only" (only registered users may view your cam), "Friends Only" (only people on your friends list my view your cam).

To request your username and password be emailed to you, please click here and enter your email address. If you are not sure what email address you used to signup, enter your username and it will be emailed to the address on file.

We are constantly working to make upgrades and improvements to our service. Occassionally, an old copy of our chat software will reside on your computer to speed up loading times. When this happens, your chat copy and our chat service are out of "sync". To correct this, you may need to erase your local copy so that a new one can be fetched from our service. Please follow these directions for your browser. If you do not see your browser listed, please let us know.

Feel free to look at different ones to see which you prefer.

Choose "Font Type" to select another font/text style
Choose "Font Size" to select another font/text size
Miscellaneous items are also available, feel free to adjust to your liking and see the changes to the left.

Under the "A/V Settings" tab, you can choose from various audio and video settings
Choose "Connection Type" to select your connection speed. Modem for dial up modems, DSL for broadband connections.
Choose "Select Camera" to select your preferred webcam/camera/camcorder to use for video on the site.
Choose "Select Microphone" to select your preferred microphone to use for audio on the site.
Additional options may be selected by choosing the "Advanced" button.

We definately understand the concern you may have when you enter the service and see notice that your video may be recorded. This message is produced by Adobe Flash and gives you a warning about the possibility this may happen.
While your video is captured to our server, it is then immediately relayed to anyone who wants to view you, that way your internet connection is not broadcasting,
for example to 50 people, which would not be possible or practical with todays internet connection speeds. (If no one is viewing your cam it is not uploaded or is immediately discarded) The rebroadcast happens on our secure servers.
Men Chats does not store or record the video that is captured for rebroadcast.

After you have located the guy you want to private video chat with, invite him into private chat room. One will be automatically created after he accepts your request. You must then close out any public chat rooms or your video will be broadcast in them as well.
